President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov chaired a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan to consider the results of the social and economic development of the country within ten months of the current year, the drafts of important documents and a number of state policy issues.
The Vice Premiers reported on the measures taken to increase the cultural potential of the country, on the existing situation in the agro-industrial complex of the country, on the progress in implementing seasonal agricultural activities and construction of apartment houses long the Atamurat Niyazov Avenue in Ashgabat, on the existing situation in the branches of the transport and communications sectors as well as a number of other important areas.
The fact that over 520 foreign delegations of various levels visited our country within the reporting period testifies to the high dynamics of cooperation with foreign partners. 557 delegations representing Turkmenistan were sent abroad with working visits. Over 200 various events organized jointly with foreign states and international organizations were held in Turkmenistan in January-October, 2012. 102 international documents concluded since the beginning of the current year have replenished the contractual and legal basis of the international relations of Turkmenistan.
A number of large-scale forums and events were successfully held in Turkmenistan within the framework of Turkmenistan’s presidency over the SIC in 2012.
In January-October 2012, the GDP growth rate made up 111.1 percent. The share of industry significantly increased in the total GDP volume and makes up 52.5 percent. The volumes of the foreign trade turnover increased up to 32.2 percent as compared to the same period of 2011. Within the reporting period, the volume of investment used from all sources of finance rose by 33.1 percent as compared to the same period of 2011.
In January-October 2012, the volume of funds used within the framework of implementing the National Programme on developing rural areas has increased by 48.3 percent. 114 social facilities were put into operation, 604.700 square meters of apartment houses were built and 8,963.3 kilometers of engineering networks were laid within ten months of the current year.
Summing up the ten months of the current year, it was noted that the taxation plan was fulfilled. The State budget revenues significantly exceeded the expenditures, in particular the local budget revenues had been implemented to 142.2 percent and the budget expenditures – 95.9 percent.
An average monthly salary increased by 11.1 percent as compared to the same period of 2011.
It was noted that within the reporting period the currency earnings plan through export of goods and rendering of service had been implemented to 143.9 percent that is 36.7 percent more as compared to the same period of the last year.
The president of Turkmenistan signed the Resolutions “On licensing activities on selling vehicles”, “On the issues of the State Medical University of Turkmenistan”, “On announcing a contest among young workers of culture and art, young amateur singers and gifted children for the Türkmeniň Altyn Asyry Turkmenistan President’s Award” and approved the Procedures of certifying products imported to Turkmenistan.
Summing up the ten months of the current year, the Turkmen leader underlined with satisfaction the dynamic paces of developing the national economy and steadily growth of production volumes in all branches of the national economy of the country. The Turkmen leader noted the an average monthly salary, pension and welfare payment increased as compared to the same period of 2011 and a number of industrial, social and living facilities had been built and put into operation.
President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov underlined once again the urgency of tasks in the sphere of further improvement of work of sectoral ministries and departments, training highly qualified specialists, including young energetic managers possessing modern knowledge.
The other important state policy issues were considered, and a number of the relevant documents and decisions were adopted during the government meeting.
