President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov gave an address to cotton growers in Turkmenistan congratulating them on fulfillment of their contractual obligations and successful completion of the cotton picking campaign. As was reported, this year Turkmen cotton growers have grown and harvested over 1.110 million tons of high-quality cotton. The Turkmen leader congratulated cotton growers, leading farmers, machine operators, scientists, all those, who take part in the large-scale work carried out in this industry.
The President of Turkmenistan highly appreciated the work of leading cotton growers in Bereket and Serdar Etraps in Balkan Velayat, Saparmurat Turkmenbashi, Boldumsaz, Gubadag, Akdepe, Ruhubelent and Gyorogly Etraps in Dashoguz Velayat, Tahtabazar, Turkmenkala, Oguzkhan, Iolotan, Bayramali and Karakum Etraps in Mary Velayat, Geottepe, Baharly, Ak Bugday, Altyn ASyr, Beyik Turkmenbashi, Sayat and Koytendag Etraps in Lebap Velayat, who made a significant contribution to achieving this labour victory.
“The Government creates favourable conditions for Turkmen farmers, their productive labour and prosperous life, the efficient work is carried out in the country to reform and develop the agro-industrial complex, to raise the fertility of lands”, noted President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov in his address. “The large-scale reforms implemented in our independent state in the context of the socially oriented policy pursued in the country with the aim to ensure the happy, plentiful life and constructive labour of native people vividly testifies to the success of our main motto – “The state for a person!”. Successfully using our ancestors’ rich agricultural traditions, skillfully combining them with the achievements of advanced agricultural equipment, you achieve great results in your work, in cotton growing industry as well”.
“The large-scale work on modernization of the agro-industrial complex carried out in the country at present allows successfully solving the tasks on raising the level of crop yield due to improving the structure and increasing the fertility of lands. The Government implements the target programmes to provide tenants with mineral fertilizers, build new water reservoirs, lay irrigation networks and drainage systems, improve lands, as well as purchase the most advanced agricultural equipment to harvest crops in proper time. The fundamental reforms taken place in the agricultural complex promote increasing the agricultural production, including in the cotton growing industry”, said the President of Turkmenistan in his address.
