Early morning the President of Turkmenistan arrived at the Government building under construction in Ashgabat. The project is implemented by the VINCI Construction Grands Projets French Company.
The head of the company – President and Director General Mr. Alen Bonno greeted the Turkmen leader.
The head of the French company informed the President of Turkmenistan on the progress of the construction works at this important object entrusted to VINCI Construction Grands Projets. Commenting on the report and projects presented for consideration, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov underlined that the national traditions in limited combination with the elements of modern architecture should be reflected in the internal and external design of the building.
The President of Turkmenistan also considered the drafts of new projects presented there. Among them are the projects on construction of a ropeway and ski basis in Ashgabat, squares and fountain complex in the Turkmen capital, International University as well as a cultural and entertainment centre in the Avaza National tourist zone.
President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov paid significant attention to the issues of improving the Turkmen capital, in particular implementation of a complex project on reconstruction of parks and public gardens.
Among the other projects presented to the Turkmen leader for consideration was the project of the new International University, where education will be provided in the English language. The new educational complex will host administrative buildings, educational buildings, amphitheatres, comfortable hostels, canteen, sports grounds, etc.
Then the President of Turkmenistan considered the drafts of the projects of a cultural and entertainment centre in Avaza. The new complex will include an aqua park and oceanarium. The project also envisages construction of swimming pools, 3D cinema, art centre, sports grounds, a trading centre, beach club, water shoots, golf playing grounds, etc.
Considering the new projects, the President of Turkmenistan continued his trip around the city to see the projects on construction of a Congress Centre, the Theater and Concert Centre designed for 3,000 places as well as a new building of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and its exhibition hall presented by the Bouygues Company. Commenting on the projects, the Turkmen leader made a number of important changes and amendments regarding the architectural design of the complexes.
Paying particular attention to the project of the Congress Centre and making a number of important amendments, the President of Turkmenistan demanded the relevant officials to envisage the multisectoral character of this Centre.
Upon completion of the presentation, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov conducted working meeting with Vice Premiers and Ashgabat Khyakim. The President of Turkmenistan underlined that the Turkmen capital should embody a unique model of a modern, dynamically developing city.
