The top level talks between President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan took place in Erevan.
During the meeting held in the atmosphere of mutual understanding and confidence, in a business and constructive key, the Presidents of Turkmenistan and Armenia discussed a wide spectrum of issues of the intergovernmental partnership paying particular attention to implementation of the bilateral agreements achieved earlier and specified the priority vectors of the Turkmen-Armenian cooperation for the long-term prospect.
The leaders of the two countries exchanged their views on the urgent issues of the regional and international policy that are of particular interest for the both countries.
Then, the talks continued in an expanded format with participation of the members of government delegations of Turkmenistan and Armenia.
In conclusion of the top level talks, the ceremony of signing bilateral documents took place at the Big Hall.

The ceremony of conferring the title of Honorary Doctor of the Erevan State University to President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for the outstanding contribution to promoting the social, political, economic spheres, developing and strengthening the Armenian-Turkmen cooperation took place at the Assembly Hall of the Academic Senate of the Erevan State University.
The diploma and badge was presented to the President of Turkmenistan to the applause of those present.
That day the Turkmen leader also visited the Mesrop Mashtots Scientific and Research Institute of Ancient Manuscripts, where President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov familiarized with the museum exhibits.
In the evening an official reception was given on behalf of President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan in honour of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov at the Palace of the President of Armenia.
