President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov chaired a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan.

Chairperson of the Mejlis A. Nurberdyeva reported on the outcomes of a working visit to St. Petersburg for participation in the 38th plenary session of the Interparliamentary Assembly of the CIS member states, where the prospects of cooperation and progressive experience of creation of regulatory acts in various spheres of the state life were considered.

Vice Premier, Minister of Foreign Affairs R. Meredov reported on the outcomes of an official visit of the President of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Armenia on November 29-30. The Vice Premier also informed the Turkmen leader on the preparations for the meeting of the CIS Council of the Heads of States.

Vice Premier A. Gochyev reported on the progress of construction of a water-purifying unit with the daily capacity of 50,000 cubic meters of water in the Mukry settlement in Koytendag Etrap, Lebap Velayat. The Vice Premier also informed the Turkmen leader that in 2008-2012, within the framework of the technical cooperation with the European Commission, the Ministry of Finance of Turkmenistan jointly with the group of experts of the European Commission completed the first and the second stages of the Project “Support to Further Economic Reforms in Turkmenistan”. At present, the proposals on implementation of a joint project “Further enhancement of the Public Finance Management

Reform III” are drafted. The project is designed to support the Government of Turkmenistan in developing regulatory acts within the framework of a Budget Code of Turkmenistan.

Vice Premier S. Toylyev reported on the preparations for the celebrations of the 290th anniversary of the great Turkmen poet and thinker Magtymguly Fragi and presented a new collection of poems created by the outstanding poet published on occasion of the event to the Turkmen leader. The Vice Premier also submitted a draft of the Resolution approving the quota for admission to postgraduate courses, institutions of doctoral candidacy as well as registration of applicants for academic titles for 2013 to the Turkmen leader for consideration.

Vice Premier B. Nurmyradov informed the President of Turkmenistan on the preparations for the events on occasion of completion of the mission of the Turkmen city of Mary as a cultural capital of the Commonwealth of Independent States. The main festivity will take place at Kemine State Drama Theater on December 17 with participation of the representatives of the CIS executive bodies, the Interstate Humanitarian Cooperation Fund of CIS Member States and mass media. Masters of culture and art of Turkmenistan will perform a big concert within the framework of the celebrations.

Vice Premier A. Yazmyradov reported on the existing situation in the agro-industrial complex and the progress in implementing the seasonal agricultural campaigns. The President of Turkmenistan signed the Resolutions “On construction of a modern cattle-breeding complex in Ruhabat Etrap, Ahal Velayat” and “On construction of poultry complexes in Balkan and Mary Velayats”.

Vice Premier A. Egeleev reported on the existing situation in the sectors under his supervision informing the Turkmen leader on putting a road interchange into operation at the intersection of K. Kuliev and Andalib Streets as well as on opening a bridge across the Karakum River. It was also reported on the outcomes of the visit to France on November 25-27 for participation in the second meeting of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-French Commission on Economic Cooperation. The Vice Premier reported on the progress of construction works and construction materials production as well as presented a draft of construction of a new city of Abadan to the Turkmen leader for consideration.

Vice Premier R. Seyitkulyev reported on the progress of construction and purchase of trailing vessels for the Turkmenbashi International Sea Port. Vice Premier Hodjamuhammedov reported on the progress of implementation of a number of large-scale investment projects. In particular, it was reported on the progress of construction of carbamide and ammonia production plants based on the most advanced technologies.

Then the floor was given to Vice Premier, Director of the State Agency for Management and Use of Hydrocarbon Resources under the President of Turkmenistan Ya. Kakaev, who reported on the work done on creation of new gas and chemical complexes in the country. It was noted that a number of specific proposals in this sphere were initiated. Among them are the projects on construction of modern complexes on production of polyethylene at the Seydy oil refinery and on the Caspian Coast, nearby the Kiyanly settlement where a sea terminal for keeping and dispatching liquefied gas is located.
