Today, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a meeting with President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, who arrived in Ashgabat for participation in the meeting of the Council of the heads of CIS states.

Aspects of interaction in energy sector, sphere of transport and communication, taking into account geographical position and transit possibilities of two states, became the topic of concerned discussion.

It was also noted that organization in Turkmenistan and Tajikistan of the Days of Culture of two states as well as participation of the Turkmen and Tajik scientists, workers of culture and arts in the scientific and creative forums, being held in both countries, directly contributes to the goals of development of humanitarian dialogue.
