President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov chaired a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan to consider the priority tasks of the state policy life and drafts of important documents.
The President of Turkmenistan cordially congratulated all those present and Turkmen oil and gas industry workers and geologists on the Day of Oil and Gas Industry Workers and Geologists and underlined that rich reserves of hydrocarbon resources and favourable conditions attracting foreign investments promoted recognizing Turkmenistan as a large energy power at the international arena.
Then the floor was given to Vice Premiers who reported on the preparations for the New Year’s celebrations and the festivities on occasion of social and cultural facilities in Belek on December 12.
The Vice Premiers informed the Turkmen leader on the outcomes of the International conference “Neutrality and preventive diplomacy: the groundwork for peace and security” dedicated to the 17th anniversary of the permanent neutrality of the Turkmen state and the 5th anniversary of opening of the UN Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia in Ashgabat as well as on the work carried out within the framework of fruitfully developing cooperation with the International Monetary Fund.
It was reported on the progress in implementing the seasonal agricultural activities, including treatment of winter crops and preparations for hibernation in cattle-breeding farms. The Vice Premiers informed the Turkmen leader that the cotton picking campaign was under completion and accounts with cotton growers had been settled.
Within the framework of modernization of the material and technical basis of the Turkmenautoyollary State Concern, 66 specialized equipment including 47 road construction equipment, 14 asphalt mixing plants, concrete mixers, etc. were delivered to the country. It was also reported on opening an asphalt mixing plant in Abadan, Ahal Velayat and on the progress of construction of such plants in Lebap and Dashoguz Velayats.
The Turkmen leader was informed on the progress in implementing the social policy and national programmes on development of science, education, healthcare, sports and tourism, on the outcomes of the conferences “Revival of the Great Silk Road in the epoch of might and happiness: deep roots and modern opportunities” taken place in the Turkmen capital.
Vice Premiers informed the Turkmen leader on the progress in implementing the Programme on development of the oil and gas complex, chemical industry and fishery of Turkmenistan for 2012-2016 and a number of large-scale investment projects, the international cooperation in the fuel and energy complex as well as the programme of festive events to mark the Day of Oil and Gas Industry Workers and Geologists.
The President of Turkmenistan signed the Decree appointing H. Hudaygulyyev editor-in-chief of the Edebiýat we Sungat Newspaper releiving him of the position of deputy editor-in-chief of the Dünýa Edebiýaty Journal.
Approving and signing the Resolution on establishment of the Demirýolçy Closed Corporation based on the enterprises of the Ministry of Railway Transport, the President of Turkmenistan noted that particular attention in our country was paid to the complex development and modernization of the railway industry.
The other important state policy issues were considered and the decisions were adopted during the meeting.
