During a working trip to Balkan Velayat, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov considered new construction projects and the progress of construction of new facilities for military and law-enforcement agencies.
Early in the morning, the President’s helicopter landed on the Caspian coast. Head of the State Border Guard Service A. Garaev reported to President of Turkmenistan Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Turkmenistan General of the Army Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
Greeting those present, the President of Turkmenistan headed to the stands with new projects installed at the special area.
Minister of Defence B. Gundogdyev, Minister of Internal Affairs I. Mulikov and Head of the State Border Guard Service A. Garaev demonstrated new projects and informed the Turkmen leader on technical characteristics of future facilities. Among them are the projects of a new building of the Naval Institute of the Ministry of Defence of Turkmenistan, the Turkmenbashi Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Turkmenistan as well as apartment houses for border-guards and specialists of the police units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Turkmenistan.
Commenting on the projects, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized that Turkmenistan improving its Armed Forces had always demonstrated the adherence to its neutral status supported by the world community that served as an important factor for maintaining peace and stability in the country and the region as well. It was noted that the Military Doctrine of Turkmenistan that has a defensive, peace-loving character was based on the principles of humanity and good-neighborliness worshiped by the Turkmen people.
Then President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov got acquainted with the progress of construction works at the Caspian coast.
During the helicopter flight the President could see numerous construction sites and evaluate the pace of contraction work launched in this region.
The Turkmen leader returned to Ashgabat on that day. High ranking officials greeted the Turkmen leader at the International airport in Ashgabat.
