President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov chaired a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan to consider the drafts of a number of documents and discuss the tasks of the state policy life.
Vice Premiers informed the Turkmen leader on the work done to assess the volume of authorized capital in commercial banks of the country and to implement the foreign-policy course. It was reported on the outcomes of the first meeting of the Turkmenistan-UN Joint working group taken place in Ashgabat with the aim to discuss the issues on drafting the National advisory plan to specify the goals and tasks for development after 2015.
It was also reported on the preparations for the Nowruz International holiday, on the seasonal agricultural campaigns, on the preparations for the spring cotton sowing campaign, on the work of the transport and telecommunication complexes. The Vice Premiers informed the Turkmen leader on the progress in implementing the SADACA Project (Satellite Data Access for Central Asia) in 2013-2015 and constructing important objects and facilities to be put into operation in the near future.
The Vice Premiers also reported on the outcomes of participation of the Turkmen delegation in the VI World Future Energy Summit held within the framework of the International Energy Week in the capital of the United Arab Emirates - Abu Dhabi on January 15-17.
The President of Turkmenistan signed the Resolution “On the volume of authorized capital in commercial banks of Turkmenistan”. President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov underlined the necessity to study the issue of joining to the World Trade Organisation and instructed the relevant officials to draft the proposals on establishing a specialized Governmental commission and to commence negotiations with the WTO.
The Turkmen leader signed the Resolution “On the government registration of foreign projects and programmes on gratuitous technical, financial, humanitarian assistance and grants” as well as the Order to discuss the Action plan drafted by Turkmenistan to provide assistance to Afghanistan.
The President of Turkmenistan signed the Resolutions approving the membership of the Strategic Advisory Council between the Government of Turkmenistan and the United Nations Development Programme for Turkmenistan and the membership of the Interstate Turkmen-Indian Commission for Turkmenistan.
The Turkmen leader instructed the relevant officials to organize contests for the best school, the best settlement, the best house, the best Health Centre, the best enterprise in cities and settlements of the country jointly with Khyakims of velayats and etraps.
President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed the Resolution “On execution of services on drilling, preparing drilling agents and fixing pipes at the Galkynysh gas deposit”.
The President of Turkmenistan signed the Resolution “On reconstruction of the building of S.A. Niyazov International Medical Centre affiliated to the Directorate of International Medical Centres of the Ministry of Healthcare and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan and construction of a new building designed for 120 places” and “On construction of a Training and Scientific Centre of the Ministry of Healthcare and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan”.
President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed the Resolution on holding the Exhibition of Export Goods of the Republic of Turkey in Ashgabat.
The Turkmen leader severely reprimanded Vice Premier, Director of the State Agency for Managing and Using Hydrocarbon Resources under the President of Turkmenistan Ya. Kakaev for the failure to properly perform official duties.
The other state policy issues were considered during the government meeting, and the decisions were adopted.
