President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received the British Prime minister’s trade envoy in Turkmenistan Charles Hendry, who arrived in Ashgabat at the head of the representative delegation of his country for participation in the Turkmen-British sport forum.
The head of Turkmen state and his guest declared for further expansion of mutually beneficial partnership at the governmental level as well as between separate state and business structures. Fuel-energy, trade-economic and transport spheres, sports, communications, education, public health and others were ranked among priority spheres of cooperation.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Great Britain in Turkmenistan Kit Rennie Alan and Co-chair of Turkmen-British Trade and Industry Council Ronald Nash took part in the meeting.
Discussion of issues of the Turkmen-British cooperation on wide spectrum of trends was also held in the course of some meetings in the Government and Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
