President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received Chairman of the Administrative Control and Transparency Authority Mr. Abdullah Bin Hamad Al-Attiyah, who arrived in Turkmenistan to take part in the first meeting of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Qatari Commission on trading and economic cooperation.
During the meeting held in a business and constructive atmosphere, the President of Turkmenistan and the head of the Governmental delegation of the State of Qatar discussed a wide spectrum of issues regarding the bilateral cooperation built on the principles of equality, mutual benefit and national interests.
The Turkmen leader and his guest noted the Intergovernmental commission on trading and economic cooperation, which was established in line with the agreements achieved during the official visit of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to the State of Qatar in October, 2010, played a crucial role in steady diversification of the bilateral cooperation.
Co-Chairman of the joint commission for Qatar Mr. Abdullah Bin Hamad Al-Attiyah underlined the established trading, economic and humanitarian relations as the important factor for cooperation between Turkmenistan and Qatar. Given the priorities of developing of the two states, their aspiration for progress, the trading and economic sphere, fuel and energy sector, transport, agriculture, textile industry, education, science, sport and tourism were identified among the key vectors for collaboration.
In conclusion of the meeting, the President of Turkmenistan and the head of the Governmental delegation of the State of Qatar expressed belief in successful continuation of the multi-aspect cooperation of the two friendly states and their peoples.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Qatar to Turkmenistan Mr. Ibrahim bin Abdul Rahman Al-Moghaisib attended the meeting.
