President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received Vice President for Executive Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mr. Ali Saidlu, who had arrived in the Turkmen capital leading a government delegation of his country to attend the opening ceremony of the VII Specialized Commodities Fair of Iran.

During the meeting the President and his guest discussed key aspects of Turkmen-Iranian cooperation in priority areas, including the transport, communications and fuel and energy sectors. Focusing on ample opportunities to build up productive economic relations, the Turkmen leader and the Vice President of the Islamic Republic of Iran emphasized the importance of traditional humanitarian contacts and enhancement of fruitful cooperation in science, education and culture.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Turkmenistan Seyed Mohammad Musa Hashemi Golpaegani attended the meeting.

On that day Vice President for Executive Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mr. Ali Saidlu held talks at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs where the progress in implementing bilateral agreements and the prospects for building up cooperation in the areas of particular priority for the two countries were discussed in detail.
