Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov arrived in one of the picturesque localities in Ahal Velayat to see the progress of preparations for Nowruz bairamy that Turkmenistan was going to celebrate at the international level this year.
The State News Agency of Turkmenistan (TDH) reports that the President of Turkmenistan held a working meeting with the Vice Premiers and the heads of ministries and departments concerned on the venue of the forthcoming celebrations. Its agenda focused on the measures taken to ensure the high level of organisation of the festivities.
The reports on preparations for public and cultural events to be arranged in honour of International Spring Holiday – Nowruz bairamy in the valley in Ahal Velayat were presented. The information on the measures taken to ensure the effectiveness of activities of the department and organisations involved in preparations for the celebrations and the actions the transport and communications organisation departments will arrange during the festivities was presented during the working meeting.
The report on the progress of construction work being carried out in the valley for that occasion and the design solutions for of the places where Turkmen and foreign musical and folklore groups would perform were presented. Also, the draft designs of stalls, workshops, swings, the models of ancient monuments of material culture of the Turkmen nation, the layouts of the places for the compositions presenting the traditions and customs of other nations who would participate in the celebrations and the venues for horse races and other sports contests were presented to the Turkmen leader for consideration. It was reported that numerous guests from a number of foreign countries were expected to arrive in Turkmenistan and that all the necessary measures were being taken to ensure their participation in the festivities.
Commenting on the reports, the President instructed to organize and hold the actions and celebrations in honour of the spring holiday at the level consistent with the spirit and traditions of hospitality, the spiritual values of our people. Approving as a whole and providing some comments on the projects, the Turkmen leader emphasized that they should showcase the traditions of the Turkmen nation.
Focusing on the importance of the proper organisation of the celebrations in honour of the International Day of Nowruz, the President noted that every sector should make its contribution to the international event and gave specific instructions to ensure effective activities of all the organisations concerned.
