President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received Minister of Foreign Affairs of the French Republic Mr. Laurent Fabius.

Speaking about the prospects of cooperation between Turkmenistan and France, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and his guest underlined wide opportunities for diversifying and enhancing mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation, in particular in such key sphere as trade and economic sector.

In this regard, the President of Turkmenistan and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of France spotlighted the efficient business relations between Turkmenistan and leading French companies working in various areas. The distinguished guest focused on the willingness of the business circles of the French Republic to expand on the promising Turkmen market with its favourable investment climate. Wide opportunities for bilateral partnership are opened up in the fuel and energy sector, the sphere of advanced technologies, telecommunications area, tourist industry, agriculture as well as a number of other sectors.
