The US delegation including executive producer of Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM) Mr. Joseph V. Melillo and Project Director - Dance Motion USA Mr. Michael Blanco, who arrived in the Turkmen capital within the framework of the programme on further development of the multiaspect dialogue of cultures of the two friendly countries and peoples was received at the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan.
The meeting participants exchanged the views on the prospects in organizing and holding joint events, including within the framework of the Dance Motion USA programme. The Programme implemented by the State Department’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs coordinated by the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM) contributes to sharing experience in the modern dance art. The performance of the Sean Curran Company, a modern dance ensemble based in New York City in Ashgabat last year promotes mutual understanding between the two nations through music and dance.
Within the framework of the visit the guests will be received at the National Cultural Centre of Turkmenistan, the Turkmen State Institute of Culture, A.S. Pushkin State Russian Drama Theater.
