During the conversation the sides discussed the current state and prospects of interstate relations and exchanged views on a number of international and regional issues of mutual interest.
Emphasizing the tremendous potential of bilateral cooperation, the leaders of Turkmenistan and the Republic of Armenia focused on the progress in implementing bilateral agreements and called for the enhancement of partnership in the trade, economic, transport, energy and other sectors.
Focusing on the importance of promoting traditional cultural and humanitarian contacts and fostering a fruitful dialogue in education and science, culture and arts, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov expressed gratitude to President Serzh Sargsian for his attention, concern and careful attitude towards the ancient monuments and historical and cultural heritage sites of the Turkmen nation that had been preserved in the territory of modern day Armenia.
