Wonderful gift for the Turkmen readers as well as guests, who arrived in our country for participation in scale solemnities on the occasion of the International Novruz Holiday, became a new popular science edition devoted to the history of its origin and traditions of celebration of New Year’s Day in spring.
Book, which is called “Novruznama”, is the collaborative effort of famous scientists of Turkmenistan – historians, philologists, linguists and ethnographers as well as journalists and public figures of the country.
From time immemorial, Novruz, reflecting the land's awakening, renovation of nature, is an embodiment of release of energy of creation. It included all forms and kinds of culture of people from ethic norms to music, folklore, dances and national cuisine. All these were crystallized out in utterly unique complex of traditions and customs told about in new book.
Book was richly illustrated with ancient thematic plots, masterpieces of famous contemporary masters of brush. Group of artists and illustrators specially recreated the pictures according to the historical sources telling about Novruz.
