President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, who arrived in the Turkmen capital to participate in the Nowruz celebrations.

The leaders of the two states paid particular attention to the opportunities for developing business relations in various spheres, including textile industry. It was noted that the Textile Industry Fair of Turkmenistan to be held in Dushanbe on April 10-15 would contribute to enhancing bilateral cooperation between the two states.

Particular attention was paid to cooperation in the transport and communication sector, in particular implementation of a joint project on laying a new railway line between Turkmenistan, Tajikistan and Afghanistan.
