President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov conducted a working videoconference meeting with the Vice Premier, velayat khyakims and heads of the ministries and departments concerned.

Focusing on the need to develop a diversified network of healthcare institutions in Ahal Velayat, the President emphasized that a major aspect of this work was to enhance access to quality medical assistance for rural citizens. In this regard, the Turkmen leader instructed Vice Premier S. Toilyev to donate an ambulance to the new health centre in Serahs Etrap.
Focusing on the need to take an integrated approach to implementing the Balkan Velayat development programme, the President emphasized the importance of using efficiently local resources of the region that has the tremendous economic, tourism and recreational potential. In this context, the President noted that the balanced development of all the industries in the region must be combined with well thought-out measures to preserve favourable environmental conditions and demanded that particular attention should be paid to these issues, including arrangement of green areas.

In this context, the Turkmen leader instructed the Dashoguz Velayat Khyakim to enhance effectiveness of the measures taken. Demanding that the quality of construction works and compliance with contractual commitments on the construction of facilities that would play a critical role in promoting economic growth of the region as well as the country should be monitored, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that facilities must be put into operation according to schedule.
