The Days of Culture of Ukraine in Turkmenistan have opened in Ashgabat. An official delegation has arrived in the Turkmen capital to participate in the art forum that will last until March 30.

Shevalev, the Ukrainian delegation led by Minister of Culture Leonid Novohvatko, officials of the Embassy of Ukraine and representatives of the Ukrainian companies operating in Turkmenistan took part in the ceremony of laying flowers to the monument to a Ukrainian poet Taras Shevchenko yesterday. In the afternoon the official delegation of the friendly country led by the Minister of Culture was received at the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan.
The opening ceremony of the Days of Culture of Ukraine in Turkmenistan took place at the Palace of Mukam of the National Cultural Centre of Turkmenistan. It brought together high-ranking officials of the departments of culture, representatives of public organisations, diplomatic missions accredited in Turkmenistan and mass media, cultural workers and students.
Ukrainian cultural and art workers presented a big concert that included the performances of THE Kiev Academic Theatre of Ukrainian Folklore Bereginya.
