Days of Culture of Ukraine in Turkmenistan are successfully held in the Turkmen capital.
One of major events of creative forum became the presentation of the second, third and fourth volumes of the book of the President of Turkmenistan, Academician of the Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Medicine, Professor Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov “Medicinal plants of Turkmenistan” published in the Ukrainian language.
In his speech at the presentation, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine in Turkmenistan Mr. V. Shevalev underlined particular significance of publication of this scientific work in the Ukrainian language for further strengthening of traditional ties and cooperation in scientific-educational sphere between two friendly people.
“Publication of this book in the Ukrainian language, which is rich in content and based on scientific researches, will contribute to the augmentation of its popularity”, - said the Ambassador Plenipotentiary.
The volumes of the book of Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov “Medicinal plants of Turkmenistan” published in the Ukrainian language were presented to the National Library of Turkmenistan.
In the capital’s Fine Arts Museum, it was organized the exhibition for the Turkmen residents. Its exposition included the artistic holograms and samples of unique Petrikovskaya painting. Musicians of the ensemble of Kiev Academic Theatre of the Ukrainian folklore “Bereginya” created particular festive atmosphere in the exhibition hall. They performed with inspiration amazing Ukrainian folk melodies.
People’s Artist of Ukraine Galina Nazarenko acquainted the visitors of the exhibition with history, motif and stylistic peculiarities of Petrikovskaya painting. She also held a master class for participants, having demonstrated unique technique of this kind of applied art.
Within the framework of the Days of Culture of Ukraine in Turkmenistan, it was held the concert of Kiev Academic Theatre of the Ukrainian folklore “Bereginya”, demonstration of the Ukrainian films by director Leonid Bykov “Only Old Men Are Going to Battle” and “Chasing Two Hares”.
The issues of development of cooperation in the field of cinematographic art were discussed today in the course of the meeting of the Chairman of the Association of Cinematographers of Ukraine S. Trymbach with the leadership of the State Committee of Turkmenistan for television, radio broadcasting and cinematography.
