President of Turkmenistan congratulated compatriots on the holiday "A Drop of Water - A Grain of Gold". Addressing the people of Turkmenistan, the Turkmen leader noted that the large-scale programmes were taken place in the country to follow the good traditions of our ancestors who knew the value of water and worshiped it, to satisfy the needs of the local population in water and develop the national economy.

According to the President of Turkmenistan, the main task set to the water industry in the country is to apply the water saving technologies, up-to-date scientific achievements and widely use the advanced experience in construction of water facilities and systems. The state policy of Turkmenistan prioritizes water conservation issues and due to the work carried out in this sphere, the fundamental changes have been achieved in the water industry of Turkmenistan.

Numerous water facilities were put into operation throughout the country. The second turn of the Altyn Asyr Turkmen Lake is under construction. Due to the General Programme of safe drinking water supply to settlement of Turkmenistan, new water facilities and plumbing systems will be built and the people of Turkmenistan will be supplied with high-quality drinking water meeting high international requirements.
