On the instructions of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Chairperson of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan A. Nurberdieva accepted credentials from Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Australia to Turkmenistan Mr. Paul Andrew Myler.

Exchanging the views on the prospects of the Turkmen-Australian partnership, the meeting participants underlined the huge potential of cooperation in the trade and economic sphere, fuel and energy sector and a number of other industries. It was also noted the significance in developing cooperation in the humanitarian sphere. With the aim to widen constructive dialogue between the two states it was offered to establish close interparliamentary relations.


Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Australia to Turkmenistan Mr. Paul Andrew Myler was received at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. The sides expressed the interest in widening long-term Turkmen-Australian relations.

Within the framework of the visit to Turkmenistan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Australia to Turkmenistan Mr. Paul Andrew Myler will be received at the Ministry of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations and the Ministry of Oil and Gas Industry and Mineral Resources to discuss the opportunities for further development of partner relations.
