On the instructions of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Chairperson of the Mejlis A. Nurberdyeva received credentials from Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in Turkmenistan Mr. Amjad Odeh Adaileh.
On behalf of the Turkmen leader the head of the Parliament congratulated the plenipotentiary representative of Jordan on his appointment to the high diplomatic post and wished every success in strengthening the ties of friendship and cooperation between Turkmenistan and Jordan.
Thanking for the kind wishes, the Ambassador conveyed warm greetings and best wishes of the leadership of his country to the President and people of Turkmenistan.
The Ambassador was briefed on key objectives and priorities of the domestic policy of independent neutral Turkmenistan and the ongoing social and economic reforms. The diplomat was briefed also on the structure and multifaceted activity of the Parliament of Turkmenistan.
Expressing his admiration for the pace of development of modern Turkmenistan, Mr. Amjad Odeh Adaileh noted that Jordan was interested in enhancing bilateral relations with Turkmenistan. The energy sector, the medical and pharmaceutical industries and an exchange of experiences in using know-how and promoting science were mentioned as the promising areas of bilateral cooperation.
