The thematic exposition showcasing the works presented at the contest announced by the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan on occasion of the Turkmen Horse Day was arranged at the exhibition hall of the State Academy of Arts of Turkmenistan.
The annual contest established by the President of Turkmenistan with the aim to attract artistic potential to the large-scale work on popularization of Ahalteke horse breed has become an efficient mechanism for development o f new forms of propaganda activities in this sphere. This year masters of fine and applied art as well as publishers and journalists take part in the contest.
According to the organizers of the contest, the number of exhibitors has significantly increased this year. Over 500 works have been exhibited at the exposition hall that turned into a horse kingdom. The horses there are placed upon a pedestal of people’s love.
Hundreds of painters, sculptors, carpet weavers, jewelers, photographers and designers as well as journalists demonstrate the image of a horse as a model of an incomparable beauty and harmony, a subject of admiration and worship.
Among the contest debutants is a web-site dedicated to Ahalteke horses that familiarizes foreign audience with the national traditions of breeding and training horses, the experience of Turkmen horse-breeders and jockeys as well as the present day of the Turkmen horse breeding industry.
