President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov conducted a working videoconference meeting with the Vice Premiers, the heads of ministries and departments concerned and the velayat and Ashgabat khyakims.
The meeting agenda focused on the priority aspects of Turkmenistan’s social and economic development, the progress in implementing the ambitious planting programmes and other important policy issues.
The meeting participants reported to the President on the progress of seasonal agricultural activities, in particular the preparations for the harvest campaign. The information on the measures taken to draft the projects of various facilities to be built in the regions, accelerate construction of buildings and facilities and prepare for the summer holiday season in the Avaza national tourism zone was presented. The report on the progress in construction of a vessel 320 passengers was presented.
The report on the current situation in the Turkmen capital, the progress in implementing the complex urban planning programme in Ashgabat and the preparations for Turkmen Horse Day, which would be marked by a number of major events, was presented.
The President issued the Resolution on the Management of Tourism Facilities in Avaza National Tourism Zone during the meeting.
The President reprimanded Chairman of the Turkmennebitgazgurlusyk State Concern A. Gurbanov for the unsatisfactory preparatory work at the children’s recreation centre under its supervision for summer school holidays and demanded that immediate measures should be taken to eliminate existing shortcomings.
Commenting on the reports, the President emphasized once again the importance of taking a well thought-out, integrated approach to fulfill the designated tasks set to the country to ensure the progress of the state and society and a prosperous life of Turkmen citizens.
