President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov chaired a joint meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers and the National Security Council, during which the draft documents and priority state policy issues were considered.
President of Turkmenistan congratulated the meeting participants and the people of Turkmenistan on Turkmen Horse Day, which is celebrated widely and solemnly in our country on the last Sunday of April.
The Vice Premiers presented the reports on the work done. The information on the results of the participation of the Turkmen delegation in the Fashion and Textile 2013 Exhibition, which took place in the capital of the Republic of Latvia on April 19-21, was presented. The reports also covered the preparations for the III meeting of the International Ahalteke Horse Breeding Association and the V International Conference “The Turkmen Horse and the World Art of Horse Breeding” , which would be held in Ashgabat to mark Turkmen Horse Day. The forums will bring together participants from 46 countries. The international trade fair will open in Ashgabat on April 26. 144 companies from 29 countries and 17 enterprises from Turkmenistan will participate in the trade fair.
Numerous guests will also participate in the festivities at the President of Turkmenistan Ahalteke horse breeding complex and the international equestrian sports complex located near Ashgabat, which would take place on April 27 and 28 respectively.
The reports on the progress of seasonal agricultural activities and the measures taken to sell wheat produced in Turkmenistan through the State Commodities and Raw Materials Exchange were presented.
The information on the draft project of the national satellite system of Turkmenistan, the measures taken to put the fiber optic line between Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan into operation, the progress of construction work in Ashgabat and the development of the Galkynysh gas field was presented.
The Vice Premiers reported on the preparations for the Victory Day celebrations and the ceremonies of awarding souvenirs and presents to war veterans and war widows on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan.
The report on the work done by the military and law enforcement agencies to maintain public order during the celebrations in honour of Turkmen Horse Day was presented. Addressing the meeting participants, the President emphasized that Ashgabat was growing and beautifying and the population of the main city was increasing. In this regard, the Turkmen leader instructed to consider the possibility to merge some districts of Ruhabat Etrap and other settlements located close to the capital city and create a new etrap of Ashgabat.
The President signed the Resolutions on the improvement of activities of the State Statistics Committee of Turkmenistan, the construction of cottages at the request of the Central Bank of Turkmenistan in the Avaza national tourism zone, the improvement of activities of the subdivisions of the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan, the construction of the building complex of the International University in Ashgabat, the purchase of laboratory equipment for the Turkmennebit State Concern.
