The III meeting of the International Ahalteke Horse Breeding Association took place under the chairmanship of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. The forum was held at the fashionable hotel Oguzkent in Ashgabat.
Cordially congratulating the forum participants and guests on Turkmen Horse Day, which has reached the international level today, the President wished them good health, wellbeing, every success in their efforts to promote horse industry and equestrian sport and popularize renowned Ahalteke horses worldwide. The Turkmen leader noted that the International Ahalteke Horse Breeding Association currently united 112 members from 25 countries and the number of its members was increasing year by year. In this aspect, the President dwelt upon some events illustrating the work done, chiefly on exchange of experience and establishment of new media channels to promote Turkmen horse breeding in the world arena and improve professional skills of Turkmen specialists.
Addressing the conference, President of the Ahalteke Horse Association of Uruguay, Mr. Guillermo Lockhart and President of the Ahalteke Horse Association of the Czech Republic, Mrs. Petra Mareshova spotlighted the prospects for promoting the Ahalteke horse breed on a global scale.

These included Pegasus Farms Ltd (Ireland), Ahalteke Action and Competition (French Republic), Sky Group Slovakia, S.R.O (Slovak Republic), Duralock (UK) Limited (United Kingdom), Dakor (Republic of Kazakhstan), Italiano Allevatori Akhal Teke Universo Akhal Teke (Italian Republic), the Akhal-Teke Association of America (United States) and Yupek yoly(Tajikistan). After the ceremony, Director for Development of the International Equestrian Federation (FEI Federation Equestre Internationale) Mrs. Jacqueline Bressan presented diploma and commemorative sign of the International Equestrian Federation to President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for his profound contribution to promoting the equestrian movement in Turkmenistan.
CEO of Reed Exhibitions Mr. Hans-Joachim Erbel invited the President of Turkmenistan and a delegation of Turkmen horse breeders to participate in the equestrian horse show Equitana, which would take place in 2015 as part of the Equestrian Sports World Fair.
