President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov chaired a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan to consider a number of state policy issues and drafts of important documents.
Opening the meeting, the Turkmen leader cordially congratulated the people of Turkmenistan on the International Day for Protection of Children.
Vice Premiers reported on the existing situation in the spheres under their supervision. As was reported, the medical aid is rendered to the people of the Islamic Republic of Iran residing nearby the border of Turkmenistan in Marchak settlement in Serhetabat Etrap.
It was also reported on the preparations for the forthcoming visits of the President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan and the President of the Republic of Tajikistan to Turkmenistan on June 5. Within the framework of the visit, the distinguished guests and the President of Turkmenistan will take part in the ceremony of putting the Atamyrat-Ymamnazar-Akina section of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Tajikistan railway and the festivities on occasion of opening of the Garlyk settlement in the Koytendag Etrap, Lebap Velayat.
It was reported on the progress in implementing the Programme on developing the banking sector till 2030 and the Programme on developing the financial-economic and banking system of Turkmenistan for 2012-2016.
The Vice Premiers also reported on the preparations for the World Environment Day that is celebrated every year on June 5. It was also reported on the existing situation in the agro-industrial complex.
Reporting on the preparations for the sports media-forum dedicated to the forthcoming V Asian Games with participation of representatives of mass media from dozens countries all over the world to be held in Ashgabat, the Vice Premier submitted the draft of the relevant document to the Turkmen leader for consideration.
It was reported on the progress of the construction of the East-West gas pipeline with the annual capacity of 30 billion cubic metres that will connect the eastern part of Turkmenistan with the Caspian region.
The Vice Premiers reported on the preparations for the festive events on occasion of the Day of Textile Worker of Turkmenistan and the International exhibition and economic forum “Textile industry towards the innovative development in the epoch of might and happiness”.
The Chairperson of the Parliament of Turkmenistan informed President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on the preparations for seminars on the rights of children and disabled persons, on the international and national legislation in this sphere and key aspects of the state policy to be held in children’s recreation centres during summer holidays within the framework of cooperation of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan and the UNICEF.
The President of Turkmenistan signed the Resolution “On establishing and putting the electronic document management system into operation in the medioprophilactic institutions of the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry in velayat centres” and the Resolution on holding the media-forum dedicated to the V Asian Indoor and Martial Art Games.
The Turkmen leader instructed the relevant officials to draft the General Plans for development of the Avaza National Tourist Zone and the city of Turkmenbashi and submit the documents to the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan for consideration.
Other state policy issues were considered and the decisions were adopted during the government meeting.
