President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Israel, Mr Shemi Tzur, who presented his credentials to the leader of the Turkmen state.

An exchange of views on the whole spectrum of relations between Turkmenistan and Israel based on mutual confidence and respect took place during the meeting. The leader of Turkmenistan and the Israeli diplomat focused on the need to build up traditional cooperation and establish closer contacts.

A focus of discussion was the prospects for enhancing bilateral relations in the spheres of economy, business, energy, tourism, education and water management as well as the cultural and humanitarian sectors.
