The Mejlis of Turkmenistan of the fourth convocation held its 20th session. The meeting agenda focused on a number of new laws and statutory and legal acts. The heads of relevant ministries and departments, representatives of law-enforcement agencies as well as mass media took part in the session.
The Mejlis deputies considered the draft Law of Turkmenistan “On the citizenship of Turkmenistan” that reflects the principles of citizenship of our country as well as the rules, terms and procedures for acquisition of citizenship.
The Turkmen parliamentarians also considered the draft Law of Turkmenistan “On the state of emergency”.
During the meeting the Mejlis deputies considered the draft Law of Turkmenistan “On privatization of housing facilities of the state housing fund”.
The deputies of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan considered the document on amending the legislative acts of Turkmenistan, including the Labour Code and the Law on Migration Service.
Particular attention during the session was paid to the drafts Resolutions of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan “On recognition of the term of office of the deputies of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan elected in constituencies” and “On elections of the deputies of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan of the fifth convocation”.
