President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas of India, Mr. Marpadi Veerappa Moily, who had arrived in the Turkmen capital to participate in a regular meeting of the Steering Committee of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) gas pipeline project.
The Turkmen leader and his guest exchanged views on a number of priority issues put on the agenda of the meeting of the Steering Committee relating to the implementation of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India gas pipeline project.
The sides emphasized that the implementation of the TAPI gas pipeline project would further enhance fruitful Turkmen-Indian cooperation and contribute to strengthening peace and stability in the region, serving as the bridge of friendship and good neighbourliness.
Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of India to Turkmenistan Sunil Jain attended the meeting.
