The opening of IV International Festival of talented children “Avaza – the land of friendship” was held in the National Tourist Zone “Avaza”. Solemn ceremony was held in the evening in the amphitheatre located on the seacoast, crowning the esplanade of the park with interactive fountains.
On this day, the amphitheatre appeared in festive attire with colorfully designed stage as stylized eastern palace and bright decorations.
Showy procession of the participants became anticipatory chord of the opening ceremony of the festival. The Turkmen group of performers of national percussion instruments, who set a beat to the festive march, was at the head of column over which the flags of participating countries were flying. To the accompaniment of such musical escort, the delegations representing 12 states walked along the central path of the park through square with fountains to the stage.
Then, it was read the congratulatory letter of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. The head of state wished the young artists creative successes, brilliant performances and good rest in “Avaza”, where all conditions are created for children to have interesting and useful time, strengthen their health.
Song-hymn “Salam, Festival!” performed by choral group “Gunesh” marked the beginning of international review of the children’s talents. Choreographic staging devoted to the happy childhood became lively illustration to the words of song. It was dynamically played before festival stage by young dancers, participating in the festival.
Then, it was held official performance of the creative groups from Germany, China, Kenya, Latvia, Russia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and large combined group of Turkmenistan.
Further, program of festive concert was continued with inflammatory national dances and songs performed by soloists and ensembles of participating countries in the festival.
Speaking about wide representation of the creative children from foreign countries, it is worth mentioning that Kazakhstan represented several creative groups from different cities of the country: dance groups “Kuanamyn”, “Asen” and “Yenlik”, group of gopuz players “Kausar” as well as young soloists. The Russian Federation and Armenia also presented their soloists. The Uzbek creative delegation also included the folk and ethnographic groups from Karakalpakstan “Amiy gulleri” and “Tong gunchalary”. Folk vocal and choreographic group “Adis” and duet “Bakyt” came to our country from Kyrgyzstan. The Azerbaijani and Tajik young artists, group from Latvia “Zelta Sietins” and girls’ group from Kenya, dance group “Golden phoenix” from China added their colors and melodies to the concert. “Libelle” group got a right to represent the German culture in this solemnity.
Nearly 300 boys and girls - over ten creative groups from different provinces, as well as young soloists – the best pupils of art schools participate in the festival from the part of Turkmenistan. Among groups are the dance and folk ensembles, group of accordion players and others. Ashgabat is represented by such well-known dance groups as “Shatlyk” of the capital’s Palace of Children and Youth, “Joshgun” of Dovletliler Palace, “Ruhubelent chagalar” as well as vocal and instrumental groups of the specialized boarding music school at TNC.
Festivity opened today in “Avaza” rose to a high pitch, having announced the triumph of friendship, peace and creation, wonderful ideals put into idea of international children’s forum.
The performance has come to end but children have not left for a long time, sharing with their impressions and emotions. Festival on the Caspian coast is going on.
