Informative and educational internet resource “Medeniyet” created by the State News Agency TDH offers the readers new section – “Virtual library”.

Virtual library prepared jointly with the Institute of Manuscripts of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan will supplement other available service on this site besides informative rubric – virtual museum, which keeps photographs of historic-cultural rarities and artifacts, testifying about development of culture, art and traditions of the Turkmen in different epochs.

Now, the pages of literary heritage of Turkmen people will be accessible in e-format as well. In the virtual library, it will be possible to find scientific and artistic works, which formed the golden fund of the national classical literature, productions of the folk creativity, folklore and others. In new section of website, the readers can find electronic publications of epics, songs, lullabies, riddles, proverbs and sayings, popular belief and others. Collection of the works of outstanding thinkers of the past prepared by the scientists of the Institute of Manuscripts will be presented for readership.

Besides production of electronic versions of monuments of written language, it is also planned to place photocopies of originals in the form of several illustrative samples of some manuscripts.
