A state concert to mark the 16th anniversary of the status of neutrality of Turkmenistan was performed at the Palace of Congress.
Turkmen artists and cultural workers prepared a bright artistic present for the national holiday which reflected the rich palette of Turkmen music, songs and dances.
The heads of the Mejlis, cabinet ministers, representatives of the public organizations of the Galkynys National Movement, diplomatic missions accredited to our country and international organizations, Turkmen ambassadors to foreign countries, cultural workers, the elders and young citizens of the country gathered in the assembly hall.
The audience enthusiastically greeted the performances of Turkmen stars, renowned singers and musicians, prominent folk and ethnographic and dance groups from all over the country, famous children’s ensembles who devoted their inspired talent to the national holiday and the flowering Motherland. The “Brightly Shining Motherland” is the name of the composition presented by young singers and dancers, the performance entitled “Melodies of Revival” presented by the Archabil group of drummers drew prolonged applause. The artistic ensembles from all over the country, including Dokmacylar, Galkynys, Mengli, Nyazli, Asgabat, Lacin, participated in the concert.
Honoured and People’s Artists of Turkmenistan and popular artists and musicians presented modern and folk songs, the works based on the prominent Turkmen poets’ poems and the pieces of national and world classical music. The inherent qualities of the Turkmen people such as peacefulness and tolerance, friendliness and hospitality were conveyed in symbolic images of the choreographic compositions. Artists managed to create the feeling of continuity of times and generations, the past and the present, the imperishable value of the rich spiritual heritage of the Turkmen people. Bagshis inspiringly and triumphantly presented the songs under the arches of the magnificent Palace of Congress.
The finale of the festivities was the performance of the song “Pride” by all concert participants. Its inspiring melody and wonderful words became some kind of hymn to the independent neutral Motherland that has entered its golden age.

On that day festive concerts were performed at the State Circus and the Turkmenistan Cinema and Concert Centre, and the theatres in Ashgabat invited spectators to the performances with the same title “The Motherland is the Neutral Homeland”.
