The Days of Culture of the People’s Republic of China were opened in Ashgabat at the Mukams Palace of the State Cultural Center of Turkmenistan.

On the occasion of the event, the workers of culture, representatives of the community, diplomatic missions accredited to Turkmenistan, mass media, youth and guests of the capital have gathered in the large hall of Mukams Palace. The representative delegation at the head of director of the Opera House of Guanci province Pengom Demingom arrived in Ashgabat. The delegation included famous performers of music and song art, dance groups, masters of fine and decorative-applied arts.


The action was organized by the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan and Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in our country. The exhibition of works of the Chinese decorative-applied art was expanded in the foyer of the Palace.

The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China in Turkmenistan Mr. Syao Zinhua noted in his speech at the opening ceremony that today, the relations of friendship and cooperation between two countries got new development dynamics. It was held a large concert of masters of art of the People’s Republic of China. Connoisseurs of folk music got an opportunity to familiarize closely with the art of singing and playing traditional Chinese instruments – pip and huchire. High masterly performance of the artists, who reproduced in stylized ritual dances the originality of the folk customs and rites, excited wild applause of auditorium.

Tomorrow, the exhibition of works of the masters of decorative-applied art of China will be opened in the Fine arts Museum of Turkmenistan. The concerts of the Chinese performers will take place in “Turkmenistan” cinema and concert hall.

The finale of the Days of Culture of the People’s Republic of China will become the joint gala concert of the masters of culture and art of two countries at the Mukams Palace of the State Cultural Center of Turkmenistan.
