The exposition represents the rich collection of articles connected with the life mode of Turkmens of the eastern region in the course of long time lapse. All these had not only a practical use but their rich decor speaks of the fact that they attached a great importance to the aesthetic side of life mode. Famous beshir carpets, which are very valued in Lebap velayat, attract the attention greatly. The name of this type of carpets has taken for its original gol, which from time immemorial to the present day, decorates carpets and carpet products of skilful carpet makers. And weavings of the eastern region also have specific ornamental features.
The exhibition also displays very practical and very comfortable carpet and floor coverings weavings of various size and designation, for example , large bags for storage of things, small bags and side nags . And there is a bag called elbukcha, in which a girl keeps her dowry before her marriage. Some articles can be found in any part of the country but in their design and ornaments, compositions and many other details they differ from each other’s.
