Book exhibitions devoted to the life and creativity of Magtymguly Fragi were opened at the State Library of Turkmenistan.
Exhibits presented in the cultural-mass section familiarize the readers with previous and new editions of poems of Magtymguly, with artistic productions of the Turkmen writers about him, researches and scientific articles about creativity of brilliant master of word.
Exhibition in the art section familiarizes the readers with musical productions created to the verses of Magtymguly. On the stands of the section of foreign literature, it was placed the collections of poems of the Turkmen poet published in various years by the publishing houses of the foreign countries. Their geography is wide. Here, it is kept the productions of Magtymguly translated into more than 20 languages of the world.
Rare editions excite particular interest of readers. It is possible to familiarize with them at the exhibition in the section of valuable and rare books. Here, every exemplar bears the stamp of remote time. It is sensed in script, type and design of volumes published at the end of XIX and beginning of XX centuries. For example, the collection of poems of Magtymguly, keeping ten editions from 1907 to 1917, is one of such rarities among exhibits of the exhibition. Originally, the poems of this collection were printed repeatedly in 1904 in “Turkmenistan welayatynyn gazeti” newspaper published in the Turkmen language. Collection of verses of Magtymguly prepared for publication by Berdi Kerbabayev and published in Ashgabat in 1926 is of particular interest as well.
