Cordially greeting each other, the sides underlined with satisfaction the positive dynamics of interstate relationships based on the firm foundation of friendship and equal mutually advantageous cooperation.
Taking this opportunity, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President Aleksander Lukashenko wished Happy New Year to each other and the peoples of the two countries.
During the conversation the leaders of Turkmenistan and the Republic of Belarus exchanged views on key aspects of bilateral cooperation noting that the interstate dialogue had been brought to a qualitatively new level in all fields in recent years. This is vividly illustrated by bilateral relations fostered in the political, trade and economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres as well as the mutual willingness to fully implement the potential for cooperation in the interests of the two friendly states and nations.
Emphasizing that the priority aspects of bilateral relations included humanitarian cooperation, the leaders of Turkmenistan and the Republic of Belarus called for enhancing fruitful contacts in the spheres of education and science and cultural exchanges that would contribute to building up the Turkmen-Belarusian dialogue initially developed in a friendly, mutually respectful and constructive way.
Expressing belief that cooperation between the two states would be promoted further and filled with a new content, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President Aleksander Lukashenko expressed the wishes of good health and every success to each other and peace, happiness and wellbeing to the peoples of Turkmenistan and the Republic of Belarus.
