President of Turkmenistan conducts video conference

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov conducted a regular video conference with the cabinet ministers, the Chairperson of the Mejlis, the heads of ministries and departments, velayat khyakims. They reported to the President on the existing situation in the regions of the country and the fulfilment of his instructions.

The immediate tasks to promote the ongoing large-scale national programmes and the priority aspects of political and social life, in particular the preparations for the sowing campaign were put on the video conference agenda.

Vice Premier M. Nurmammedov who is in charge of the agricultural sector reported on the existing situation in the sector and the progress of agricultural activities and construction of agricultural facilities throughout the country.

Commenting on the report, the President demanded that the pace of work in this sector be intensified. The Turkmen leader said the immediate measures were to be taken to increase livestock production and promote the livestock processing industry through using scientific and technological advances and involving scientists.

The President noted that though the Government showed unceasing concern for the modernization of the agro-industrial sector and took significant measures to improve the working conditions of agricultural workers and strengthen the material and technical basis, the development of the agro-industrial sector was not enough dynamic and expressed dissatisfaction with poor performance in the agro-industrial sector.

Then the Turkmen leader talked to Vice Premier N. Shagulyev who is in charge of Ahal Velayat and gave specific instructions regarding the ongoing activities in this region and water and electricity supply to settlements.

Touching upon the project of new town of Abadan, the Turkmen leader emphasized that the project activity must meet the construction schedule and quality standards.

Chairperson of the Mejlis A. Nurberdieva informed the Turkmen leader of the activities carried out by parliamentarians to lay a legal foundation for the ongoing social and economic reforms and the activities aimed at improving the people’s welfare.

Vice Premier M. Yazmuhammedova reported on the measures taken to hold cultural actions throughout the country, the progress of construction of cultural facilities and the fulfillment of the Turkmen leader’s instructions.

Chairman of the State Committee for Television, Radio and Cinematography Sh. Alovov reported on the work carried out by the departments under his supervision.

Director General of the Turkmen atlary State Association A. Oraznazarov reported on the work carried out in the horse breeding sector and the measures taken to maintain and efficiently use the equestrian sports complexes.

The velayats khyakims reported on the work carried out in their regions, the progress in implementing construction projects, the measures taken to improve the people’s welfare and quality of life, modernize social, housing and industrial infrastructure and hold the sowing campaign in a timely and properly manner.

Balkan Velayat Khyakim S. Satlykov reported on the progress in developing the projects of a spa centre in the Avaza national tourism zone, the palace of happiness and marketplace in the administrative centre of the region.

Chairman of the Turkmengallaonumleri Association Ye. Ashyrov reported on the progress of construction of agricultural facilities, particularly grain elevators, throughout the country. The Chairman of the Association reported that agricultural equipment and machines had been distributed among the regions in compliance with local soil and climatic conditions, several receiving points had been opened and several grain elevators operated effectively.

Summing up the substantive conversation, the President wished all those taking part in the video conference every success in fulfilling the important tasks aimed at dynamic social and economic development of the country, of the people’s welfare and the prosperity of the beloved Motherland.
