The Days of Turkish Culture in Turkmenistan

The ceremony of opening the Days of Turkish Culture in Turkmenistan took place at the Palace of Mukams in the Turkmen capital.

Addressing ceremony participants, Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey Abdurrahman Arici underlined the common historical and spiritual ties between the two fraternal peoples, and the aspiration for large-scale cooperation built up a reliable foundation for the friendly Turkmen-Turkish relations.


Then, Turkish artists performed their first concert at the stage of the Palace of Mukams. The concert programme started with the performance of a trio that performed national melodies, songs and melodies created by Turkish composers, as well as world classic works.

The concert programme also included the performances of the Turk Dunyasi musical group, and a dancing group from Ankara. Artists pleased the audience with original choreographic compositions.

An exposition of the Turkish decorative and applied arts will be arranged at the Fine Arts Museum of Turkmenistan. The Watan Cinema and Concert Centre will host a concert to be performed by masters of culture and art of the Republic of Turkey.

Turkmen audience will have an opportunity to enjoy the performances of the Turkish State Opera and Ballet Theatre, and the State Theatre of the Republic of Turkey. Films created by Turkish cinematographers will be demonstrated at the Ashgabat and Turkmenistan Cinema Centres.

Turkish artists will also arrange their performances in the administrative centre of Mary Velayat.

Within the framework of the cultural event, our Turkish guests will have an opportunity to see the sights of the Turkmen capital, and cultural centres of the country, as well as will visit museums in Ashgabat and Mary.
