Today, exhibition of fine and decorative-applied art of our people was opened in one of main cultural centers of Beijing – Museum of Women and Children of China – within the framework of Days of Culture of Turkmenistan.

The representatives of government, scientific and creative intelligentsia, diplomats, journalists and students took part in the opening ceremony of exhibition. Welcoming the participants, the organizers underlined that the current cultural action is another significant step on the path of strengthening of rapidly developing friendly relations of Turkmenistan and China.

As it was known, the Turkmen and Chinese people are the successors of ancient, rich and original culture, which masterpieces enriched the treasury of world civilization. Therefore, interest in spiritual world of our ancestors as well as sincere interest in Turkmen and Chinese people in culture and art of each other is quite high in modern world.

Main National Museum, Fine Arts Museum of Turkmenistan – the largest depositories of national values and scientific centers of the country represented their sections in the exposition.

Articles of folk decorative and applied art, ancient national cloth, jewelry decorations and undoubtedly the world-famous Turkmen carpets attached unrepeatable national color to the exhibition. Particular attention was paid to the artistic vernisage – pictures from collection of Fine Arts Museum of Turkmenistan as well as models of modern cloth of the Turkmen women presented by the national designers. Opening ceremony of the action was accompanied with the concert prepared by the Turkmen artists. Its program included old folk melodies and songs.
