President of Turkmenistan makes working trip to Mary Velayat

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov made a working trip to Mary Velayat. During the trip the Turkmen leader visited the Maryazot production association and the Galkynys gas field to the progress of the development of this large gas-bearing area.

The objective of the working trips to the regions that the Turkmen leader has made since the beginning of the current year and the measures taken to implement the rural development plans is to meet with the electorate in the framework of the presidential election campaign.

In the morning the President’s plane landed at the airport in Mary town where the Mary Velayat Khyakim cordially greeted the Turkmen leader.

Mary Velayat Khyakim K. Gurbanov reported on the progress of seasonal agricultural activities and the measures taken to implement the National Programme for improvement of the social and living conditions in villages, settlements, towns in etraps and etrap centres for the period till 2020.

Reporting on the fulfilment of the Turkmen leader’s instructions, the Khyakim presented the projects of social, cultural, cultural, housing and industrial facilities, including apartment houses under the mortgage loan programme, and the plans for the development of the Garassyzlyk farmers association in Altyn Sahra Etrap to the President for consideration.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov provided some comments and recommendations and approved the projects. The Turkmen leader emphasized that new facilities must meet construction standards, reflect the national architectural traditions and adorn of towns and villages in the region.

Addressing the Mary Velayat Khyakim, the Turkmen leader focused on the importance of fulfilling the social and industrial infrastructure plans and effectively coordinating the activities of all the departments and organisations concerned to improve further the social and living conditions in the region. In this context the Turkmen leader gave specific instructions.

Then the helicopter took the President to the Maryazot production association of the Turkmenhimiya State Concern, one of the oldest chemical enterprises in the country.

The President’s helicopter landed on the special area in front of the administrative building of the Maryazot production association. President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov cordially greeted local workers and specialists. Then the Turkmen leader considered the projects of new facilities producing ammonia and carbamide and the plan for modernization of the Maryazot production association.

A local specialist told about the production process at the Maryazot production association, its structure and capacity and the technologies for manufacturing ammonium nitrate, azotic acid and synthetic ammonia used at the enterprise.

Then President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov talked to the local personnel about the prospects for modernizing the enterprise and its impact on the environment. The Turkmen leader talked to local workers and specialists about their everyday concerns and working and living conditions. President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said the main aim of his working trip was to meet with local people and see the progress in implementing the ambitious social and economic reforms in the region.

Dwelling upon the important tasks the country was to fulfil in the present historical period, the Turkmen leader emphasized that the significant joint work on diversification of the national economy and establishment of high-tech industries through applying scientific and technological advances in the chemical sector particularly must be done. President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that our country was about to make a scientific breakthrough which would enable to speed up reforms in all spheres of life of the state and society and strengthen its democratic foundations.

The meeting participants expressed gratitude to the Turkmen leader for pursuing the far-seeing and prudent foreign and domestic policy that contributed to enhancing the international prestige of the country and improving the people’s welfare. They said they would vote for the Turkmen leader Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov during the presidential election.

Noting that Turkmen economy had reached the level of developed countries of the world in the present historical epoch contributing essentially to the national prosperity and the people’s welfare, the Turkmen leader as a presidential candidate assured the electorate that he would serve faithfully the people and spare no effort for the benefit of the beloved Motherland in case he was elected for a second term.President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov heartily bade farewell to the meeting participants.

Then the President’s helicopter headed for the Galkynys gas field, the Osman-5 well. During the flight the President could see the progress in construction of surface field facilities and gas treating units in this region.

The President’s helicopter landed on the area in immediate proximity to the Osman-5 well. On the platform of one of the boring towers the Turkmen leader had a meeting with local workers and specialists. They told the Turkmen leader about the huge reserves of this field and the hydrocarbon management programmes launched in this region.

Talking to local workers and specialists, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov underlined the important of widely adopting innovative technologies and scientific and technological advances in the fuel and energy sector, including drilling activity, and using state-of-the-art equipment. The Turkmen leader highly evaluated a profound contribution that gas industry workers made to enhance the economic strength of our country. President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said the Government allocated substantial investment to modernize the oil and gas industry and develop new rich deposits.

Talking to drill operators, the Turkmen leader said no effort would be spared to effectively use these riches for the benefit of the people and in the interests of the generations to come.

Then the Turkmen leader greeted each of the drilling technicians who were working there. President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov asked local workers and specialists about their everyday concerns, wage rate and conditions of work, life and recreation. Drilling technicians and other specialists expressed profound gratitude to the Turkmen leader for his unceasing concern and tireless efforts.

The Government would take further measures to strengthen the material and technological basis of the fuel and energy sector and improve the standards of living of oil and gas industry workers, said the Turkmen leader.

Expressing support for the Turkmen leader’s progressive undertakings and constructive initiatives, the oil and gas industry workers heartily thanked the President for modernizing the fuel and energy sector and assured that they would faithfully work and spare no effort to ensure the prosperity and wellbeing of the Motherland. The meeting participants said they would vote for the Turkmen leader Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov during the presidential election.

The Turkmen leader visited drilling technicians’ houses to see their living conditions. Highly evaluating selfless labour of gas industry workers, who live and work in the heart of the desert, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said the Government would always show concern for them.

The Karakum Desert is a phenomenon that deserves the respect and protection as a sanctuary of Turkmen nature, said President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov focusing on the need to thoroughly study the unique flora and fauna of the greatest desert on the continent.

Upon concluding the meeting, the Turkmen leader heartily bade farewell to those present.

Then the President’s helicopter landed at the international airport in Ashgabat.
