President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov visited the Ruhiyet Palace in Turkmenbashi town during his trip to Balkan Velayat. There the Turkmen leader considered a number of construction projects developed by foreign companies.
These particularly included the urban development projects that included creating public green spaces and improving the territories adjacent to municipal buildings and coastal area.
A number of facilities construction projects to be implemented in Balkanabat town, the administrative centre of Balkan Velayat were presented to the President for consideration. These include the Bagt Kosgi wedding palace, the Balkan Velayat library and a mosque.
After thoroughly considering the projects, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov made some comments and recommendations. The Turkmen said these projects should be implement applying latest architectural, design and engineering solutions in harmonious combination with the national traditions in building and décor.
After the Turkmen leader considered the draft designs of the improved territories adjacent to municipal buildings, the Turkmen leader underlined the importance of using latest landscape technologies and elaborating every detail, including the layout, planting of greenery, lighting, among others, that would refresh the architectural look of the littoral town and create a comfortable urban environment. The cascade fountains to be built in front of the Ruhiyet Palace should be an adornment of the littoral town.
After considering the construction projects, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized that these and new facilities and buildings to be constructed in the administrative centre of the western region of the country must harmoniously combine the national architectural traditions with latest design and engineering solutions which would add new colours to the architectural ensemble of the town. Every detail and specific feature, including interior decoration, should be taken into consideration so that new facilities and buildings could function properly, said the Turkmen leader providing some comments and recommendations to designers and architects.
The project of a one-level flyover which would be built on a section of the Atamurad-Turkmenbashi highway was presented to the Turkmen leader for consideration. The President emphasized that innovative technologies and know how should be used to develop and implement the projects of this kind. In this context the President focused on the significance attached in the country to modernization and development of road infrastructure as an essential condition of social and economic progress.
In conclusion President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized that all buildings and facilities being constructed and to be constructed should meet quality and aesthetic standards as they would serve the present and future generations of citizens of Turkmenistan.
