Recently, four diplomas of winners of the contest, where children from 77 countries took part in, came by post to the children’s art school named after B. Nurali from Finland. In total, 5880 works, including 18 – from Turkmenistan, have been submitted for consideration of jury. 165 works awarded with diplomas were considered to be the best. Four best works among them are the impressive victory of young artists of Turkmenistan.
- Each time, when our pupils get such high estimations of their creativity- says the director of school Guljemile Amanova, - it gives the confidence and feeling of personal significance not only to children but also teachers. Therefore, we take an active part in the international creative contests. For example, now, we wait for the result of the children’s contests held in Czech Republic and Belarus.
Recently, 10 children returned from International Festival of Central Asian countries and Kazakhstan “Children draw the world”, which was held in Astana, Kazakhsatn. It was decided to share with their impressions about trip not by words but with pictures. Now, it is prepared the pictures of the participants of this festival.
School for young artists was opened in Ashgabat on suggestion of Byashim Nurali in 1958 and he became one of its teachers. Even today, school breathes with image of the first Turkmen artist Byashim Nurali, whose name it bears. Here everywhere, it is possible to find the portraits or sculptural statues of this talented painter. As a tradition, on the first day of school year, every new pupil familiarizes with interesting exhibits of the richest museum of Byashim Nurali.
Among famous school leavers are such masters as the People’s Artists of Turkmenistan Ada Gutliyev and Solmaz Muhammedova, Honored Artist of Turkmenistan Ishanguli Ishanguliyev, Durdymyrat Kuliyev, Alexander Kenyakin, art critics Azat Annayev and Wepa Orazberdiyev and many others.
Recently, in honor of the 23rd anniversary of independence, according to the Decree of the President of Turkmenistan, the director of Ashgabat children’s art school named after Byashim Nurali Guljemile Amanova was awarded with honorable title “Honored worker of culture of Turkmenistan”.
In Turkmenistan, there are 11 art schools and over 70 schools of arts, which have the sections of drawing. Ministry of Culture supported the initiative of the school named after B. Nurali on organization of common exhibition of works of young artists of the country entitled “My Motherland – Turkmenistan” to be held in winter.
