President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov made a working visit to Dashoguz Velayat to see the progress in holding the agricultural campaigns and implementing the construction projects and the programme of socio-economic reforms in the region.
The main aim of the trips of the leader of the Turkmen state to the regions early this year is to meet with the electorate in the framework of the preparations for the February 12 presidential election.
President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov considered the projects of social, cultural and industrial facilities to be implemented in this region.
These include the Bagt Kosgi wedding palace which will be built in Dashoguz.
Also, it is planned to build a new marketplace designed as the carpet pattern characteristic of this region. The new marketplace will occupy the 35-hectare area in the vicinities of the town along the Dashoguz-Ashgabat highway.
The projects presented to the Turkmen leader for consideration included a livestock farm to be built in S. A. Niyazov Etrap and a settlement Tyaze oba. The building premieres will take place in Kunya Urgench where a big mosque will be built.
The Turkmen leader considered the projects of a bridge across the Shabat canal on Bitaraplyk Avenue in Dashoguz town. According to specialists, the bridge will be 72 metres long and 31.5 metres wide with the 5-metre lane line. The construction of this bridge will be a new step to develop urban transport infrastructure.
Under the housing construction programme the complex of four-storey houses with comfortable apartments, total of 17 buildings, is to be built in the region in the near future.
A five-star hotel with necessary infrastructure and a park with ‘musical’ fountains, amphitheatre, children’s playgrounds, cultural, entertainment and shopping centres and clock tower will be built in the administrative centre of Dashoguz Velayat. The Turkmen leader paid particular attention to the project of a boarding school with the recreation centre designed for 420 children. It is the complex of specialized boarding schools and kindergartens for handicapped children and children with disabilities. The favourable conditions for the studies, integrated development and social adaptation of children in need of special care and concern will be created in these children’s institutions.
Then President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov visited a livestock farm in Magtymguly farmers association in S. A. Niyazov Etrap.
The new livestock breeding complex to be built in the region will include a farm designed for 500 heads of cattle, the meat processing shop with the capacity of 120 tons per year, the milk processing shop with the capacity of 2,000 tons per year, storehouses, etc. The farm will be supplied with state-of-the-art milking equipment.
The Turkmen leader talked to local dairymaids – representatives of one of the important professions in the livestock sector about their working and living conditions, their everyday concerns and professional activities.
Then the Turkmen leader headed to Kunya Urgench Etrap where he visited the construction site of a water storage reservoir.
There the Turkmen leader signed the message to the future generations. This message was put into the special capsule that was thrown in the foundation of the future facility following the tradition. Then the Turkmen leader visited the construction site of a water storage reservoir.

The President talked to them about advanced equipment produced by world’s manufacturers which would be used to build this important hydraulic facility.
