President of Turkmenistan conducts videoconference

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov conducted a videoconference with the cabinet ministers and the khyakims of Ashgabat and velayats.

The Vice Premiers reported on the fulfillment of the Turkmen leader’s instructions and the work carried out in the sectors under their supervision.

The State News Agency of Turkmenistan (TDH) reports, Vice Premier, Minister of Foreign Affairs reported that the polls had been opened at the embassies and consular offices of Turkmenistan in foreign countries and the representative offices of Turkmenistan at the authoritative international organizations where the vote would be held properly. The Vice Premier also reported that representatives of foreign mass media accredited to our country were provided with the information on the preparations for the election and the turnout.

Vice Premier S. Toylyev reported on the activities carried out to promote the sport and physical culture movement in the country.

Emphasizing that the work on integrated development of the younger generation should be carried out in line with international standards, the Turkmen leader instructed to hold the hockey team tournaments, award the winners and organize exhibition figure skating performances before the World Health Day celebrated throughout the country.

The Velayat Khyakims reported on the progress of seasonal agricultural activities, the readiness of agricultural machines and equipment for the cotton sowing campaign and the preparations for the presidential election.

The Ashgabat Khyakim reported on the measures taken to develop and beautify the Turkmen capital, modernize its architectural ensemble, improve the people’s welfare and optimize the public utility activities. The Ashgabat Khyakim reported on the readiness for the February 12 presidential election.

Commenting on the report, the Turkmen leader emphasized that the all the necessary conditions should be created so that citizens could vote for the worthiest presidential candidate. The Turkmen leader emphasized that the election must comply with the Constitution of Turkmenistan and wished the success to all the presidential candidates.
