An exhibition dedicated to the 20th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s neutrality

Beijing Jintai Art Museum hosted a book fair and an exhibition of the decorative and applied arts of Turkmenistan dedicated to the 20th anniversary of neutrality of our country. The exhibition was organized by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the People’s Republic of China.

More than 300 editions telling about the Turkmen people’s history, culture and traditions as well as present achievements of independent neutral Turkmenistan were presented at the exhibition. The original works of young jewelers were also showcased there. The artistic group of the National Conservatoire performed the classical works by Turkmen and foreign composers.

Representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China and diplomatic missions accredited in China, workers of culture and art, Chinese journalists as well as Turkmen students studying in the higher educational institutions in Beijing attended the exhibition opening ceremony.

A member of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), founder of the Beijing Jintai Art Museum Yuan Xikun congratulated organisers and guests of the exhibition on the 20th anniversary of neutrality of Turkmenistan and noted that numerous visitors could get acquainted with the books about Turkmenistan, many of which were published in the Chinese language.

It was noted during the ceremony that following the principles of neutrality, Turkmenistan considers the establishment of mutual understanding and trust between peoples, development of diversified relations with various countries in the world, including China as important factors to ensure the universal progress.
