President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Hamid Karzai had a telephone conversation. The leader of the neighboring state cordially and heartily congratulated the leader of the Turkmen state on the convincing victory in the presidential election and the assumption of office and wished him good health and new achievements for the benefit of the Turkmen people.
The Afghan leader expressed ardent gratitude to the President of Turkmenistan for pursuing the policy of friendship, good neighborliness and mutual help and providing assistance to the Afghan people in building a peaceful life.
