A gala concert at the magnificent Palace of Congress was the culmination of the celebrations in honour of the National Flag Day and the election the national leader Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to the second term.
A festive atmosphere reigned in the Palace of Congress that had hosted the ceremony of inauguration of newly-elected President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. Among the participants were the heads of the Mejlis, cabinet ministers, representatives of the public organisations, the heads of diplomatic missions of Turkmenistan to foreign countries, foreign ambassadors accredited to Turkmenistan, the elders, representatives of ministries and departments, higher educational institutions and research institutions, journalists and foreign guests who had arrived in Turkmenistan to take part in the National Flag Day festivities.
The chorus of the Turkmen National Conservatoire performed the National Hymn of Turkmenistan. The audience united with patriotic ardour joined in signing.
The concert programme included the performances of musicians, singers, folk singers and groups, dance groups and children’s artistic ensembles. The folk and ethnographic groups from all the regions of Turkmenistan presented a bright show. They performed the enchanting mini performances that reflected the diversity and originality of the national art.
The finale of the festive concert was the performance of the song dedicated to the National Flag by all the concert participants. Its words and music reflected happiness and pride of Turkmen for independent neutral Turkmenistan.
